Hi, I’m JJ Resnick.
I always enjoy the “about me” page on websites (or rather get a good laugh) because they’re written in the third person, even though they’re typically written by the owner of the website.
So after JJ made several attempts to sound much smarter than he really is by writing about himself in the third person, he quickly abandoned that approach and decided to write this page like it was a letter to a new friend.
Which, in many ways, it is!
So, now that we’re friends…what would you like to know?
I’m 39 years old. I recently moved from Santa Barbara, CA up to San Francisco with my wife, Candy.
We have an 18-month old son we call Jackboy (his real name is Jack), and he has the most adorable, curly hair you’ve ever seen 🙂
We have two Australian Shepherds, Cooper and Bugzee and whenever I’m not working or teaching my son the secrets to life, you’ll most likely find me on the golf course.

You’re most likely wondering,
Is This Guy Worth My Time And Attention?
For most readers, my short answer is NO.
If you’re looking to “GET RICH QUICK” we won’t be a good fit.
For some reason, people equate “selling products online” to a “get rich quick” scheme.
I get it. That’s what initially attracted me to the Internet 15 years ago (more on that later).
I thought it would be easy money and I’d have piles of cash coming in on the daily … on autopilot.
Well, it didn’t exactly happen that way, and it definitely wasn’t easy.
I do have consistent revenue coming in every day …often on auto pilot …but it took lots of work, a good amount of frustration, and perseverance to get to this point.
…And it still takes work to keep it all going.
So if you’re not prepared to commit to five times more effort than you’re expecting, we’re not a good fit.
If you’re not willing to put up any of your own money to show me you’ve also got “skin in the game” we won’t be a good fit.
No, I’m not going to sell you anything. But here’s why I’m telling you this.
Start going down the E-commerce rabbit hole, and you’ll see all kinds of ads and articles about how you can start your own e-commerce business and “make a fortune” by promoting other people’s products, and all kinds of hype on the “latest loopholes” for “gaming the system”.
Does some of it work?
Probably. In the short term. However, if you rely on methods like this, you don’t have a business. You have an income stream that’s supported by an unsustainable gimmick.
And that is a waste of time. If you want to waste time, go binge watch your favorite Netflix show. It’s more fun.
If you’re looking for the “Easy Button”, we won’t be a good fit.
Because when someone comes to me and says, “What’s the easiest way”, what I’m really hearing them say is, “I’m not fully invested in the long term success of my own business …and am therefore not fully invested in the long term success of my customers.”
And that really translates to “I’m not looking to work”.
Here’s the truth, selling products online is HARD WORK. Don’t get me wrong, when it’s all up and running, it can be just like you imagined: Passive revenue and money while you’re sleeping.
But that takes HARD WORK to create and it takes HARD WORK to maintain.
Congratulations! The fact you’ve made it this far tells me that you’re willing to put in the work and do what it takes to succeed. You’re the type of person I’m looking to invest my time and money in.

How Do I Know You Can Help Me Build A Successful Brand?
Well, the smartest thing to do is to just look at my track record.
I think I’m supposed to do the whole “self aggrandizing biography” thing now so here goes:
I started my career online in 2005 by creating an online “city guide” in Portland, OR.
At the time, the only other game in town was a website called CitySearch (which you may remember if you were born prior to 1985).
Here’s how CitySearch would work: The user would search for “steakhouses” in “X” city and listings like McDonalds and Burger King would show up at the top of the results. This was because they were the ones funding the site of course…I knew there had to be a better way, so I created NavigatePortland.
It was a good site, and I was even able to bring the Navigate model to 6 other cities where I sold Franchises and generated about $300k in a 4 month period, as a 25-year old kid. I thought I had made it in life and I’d be moving into my castle on the hill in short order.
This was before Yelp saw what I had been up to and came onto the scene with a team full of seasoned veterans and $200M in funding. Long story short, my castle was never built.
Anyway – it kind of worked. Kind of.
Did I make money?
Anyway – by sheer luck, I ran into one of my best friends from high school who had just returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. He had been wounded while overseas and he now had a Service Dog.
He began telling me how he was supposed to be back home in Michigan visiting his family, but that the airlines, or more specifically the flight attendant refused to let him board the plane.
Hearing this enraged me.
I thought to myself, how could the airlines possibly do this to somebody who risked their life to fight for our country?! After some more research I discovered this was not an isolated incident. This was happening to many other service men and women just like my friend on a daily basis… and it all boiled down to one thing:
As a society, we’ve been taught for years that service dogs are for the blind, so if you’re not blind, you must not really have a “Service Dog” and this was the problem I set out on a mission to correct.
I launched Service Dog Registration of America and pioneered the industry of identifying service dogs that belonged to Veterans and disabled Americans. It quickly grew to become the “go-to” site for all things Service Dog. Leashes, harnesses, Identification tags and more…
And after almost five years of trial and error, I finally started to achieve real success online.
When my business did over $200,000.00 in a single month, and continued to grow month after month, I knew I had something big on my hands.
And that’s how I got my start as an “e-commerce guru”.
But even that business was fairly short lived.
Although this time it was my choice to walk away from the business because I didn’t like the direction the industry as a whole was going…
When I began seeing orders come through from very well-known celebrities in Hollywood and then would hear stories on the news about how people were taking advantage of our ADA laws regarding service dogs, I decided it was time to move on.
Many thought I had lost my mind, to just walk away from tens of millions of dollars, but looking back this was probably the best business decision I’ve ever made.
I say this because I learned a very important lesson at this juncture in my life.
I realized that making a lot of money is great, but there’s so much more to what I consider to be true success, and believing in what you’re doing, as well as enjoying every day you’re doing it is just as important.
I initially started this company because I was passionate about helping the customers I was serving and I firmly believe this was the reason the business became so successful.
When I was no longer achieving my mission, it was time to move on.
Most importantly, I was able to grow a very successful online business to multiple 7-figures and learn a ton along the way. At this point, I knew it really didn’t matter what business I chose to build next because I had figured out the formula for success online.
Fast forward to today and I’ve got customers and clients in just about every country on earth.
I’ve partnered with some of my favorite brands like the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Ceaser’s Palace, along with many sports teams, venues, etc…I’ve become friends with many of the celebrities, athletes and entrepreneurs that I’ve admired all my life and I’ve shipped my own products to over 600,000 happy customers and counting.
My main focus now is to help you build a successful e-commerce empire.
You may be wondering why I’m so interested in helping others…and I’ll be the first to admit my selfish reason for doing so…
We all only have 24 hours in a day, which means there’s only so much I can accomplish on my own and so many brands I can build.
BUT…I’ve discovered that I can leverage my blueprint for success online by partnering with other entrepreneurs like you.
In doing so, I’m able to leverage TIME… and this is something I can’t buy more of.
